Purina Flock Raiser Poultry Feed Crumbles, 5 lb. is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goslings are not baby chicks Goslings are not baby chicks. They have different dietary needs. Goslings are vegetarians and chicks eat anything from insects, worms, to your flowers and vegies. Purina Flock Raiser is ok for chicks, but necessary for goslings. When my goslings arrived I had no transportation and had to give them chick feed for a week. They survived, but did not thrive. As soon as I started feeding them Flock Raiser they started growing and haven't stopped yet. They are healthy little birds that dive right into their food with gusto.

Its said that ducklings need several times More Niacin than chicks.... how is this suitable for both? Only wondering bc what I'm using now, I also have to add nut./brewers yeast... so was wanting to switch to feed that had the extra niacin in it. Thanks

Asked by: elin08
This product will have at least 55 ppm of niacin content. It is formulated to meet the needs of the mixed flock. While chicks may not require the additional niacin, having the increased amount will not be harmful.

We suggest to feed this as the sole product to young ducklings. There is no need for additional grit while using our crumbles and pellets.
