The Purina 30% Protein Starter Crumbles Game Bird Feed is a convenient way to provide the high protein and specific nutrients these young birds, different from baby chicks, require to start strong. A complete and balanced feed specifically formulated for pheasants, quail, chukars, guinea fowl and other exotic game birds from 0-6 weeks or turkeys 0-8 weeks of age. The crumbles are easy to feed, supporting strong intake so poults and game bird chicks can grow into healthy adult birds. Plus, this game bird feed is supplemented with Vitamin C to help bird during periods of heat stress.

All other quail should start on Game Bird Starter for 6 weeks and then switch to Game Bird Flight Conditioner until 20 to 24 weeks when the females start laying eggs. When you start to see eggs, then it is time to transition. The males should remain on Game Bird Flight Conditioner. When the females stop laying eggs for the season, you can move everyone to Game Bird Maintenance to keep the birds from gaining too much weight in the off-season. When you ferment it, you change the nutrient profile of the feed so it is no longer meeting the nutrient requirements of the birds. Plus, do you know what bacteria that you are growing? Ordered 2 bags after finding out there was none left right before I had to leave town. (Thanks teenagers for not letting mom know the food was running low) simple and easy to navigate on the website, the turkeys seem to really enjoy this food as compared to flock raiser. So ordered 2 bags my husband went to pick it up. Would definitely recommend online ordering for in store pickup
