For consistent egg production, give your hens the Producer's Pride 16% Layer Crumbles Poultry Feed. This poultry feed is a complete feed formulated to support healthy laying hens and other egg-laying poultry. Featuring 16% crude protein, this nutritious crumble feed is fortified with calcium for strong shells, plus the vitamins and minerals laying birds need to help support consistent egg production. The crumble form offers a smaller particle size that's easy for smaller birds to consume, making it an excellent choice for laying chickens, quail, pheasants, guinea hens and chukars. Feed this product as the sole ration beginning at approximately 18 weeks of age for laying chickens or at the onset of egg production for other laying game birds. Seasonal layers should be transitioned to a maintenance feed when egg production stops and returned to this feed when laying resumes. Available in a 50 lb. bag of egg layer poultry feed. Made in the USA.

Q: On the layer chicken feed which is beyter the pellets or the crumbles

1 Answer
  • A: Both layer crumbles and layer pellets provide the same nutritional value for laying hens, but the best choice depends on individual preferences and management practices. Pellets tend to be less wasteful due to their larger size, while crumbles may be preferred by some chickens and can be easier for chicks to eat. Ultimately, the best option is to experiment and see what your flock prefers.
