Very happy

Instructions are easy to follow. Very sturdy. Comes with 3 perches and 3 nesting boxes. Great value for the price. Allow a few hours to put it together. Either have delivered or have a trailer with your truck... it’s heavy!

Some pros, some cons to consider

Pro # 1 the steel frame makes it sturdy, don’t think it will fall apart easy. Pro # 2 floor of the house is solid, predator’s won’t get in that way. Con # 1 the layout of the inside is not efficient. Roosting rods should not be directly over nesting boxes for sanitary purposes. I’ve never had a hen that liked it’s head pooped on, and eggs should be laid in a clean place. My husband and I are going to attach a set of nest boxes accessed by the hens through drop down door for gathering eggs / cleaning the nests. Con # 2 since we live in humidity, another window for more ventilation would be good. Not hard to do. Con # 3 the sliding door for chicken to access yard warps when it gets wet without additional paint. Mine did accidentally, it does still slide on the track though. Entire building needs exterior paint to cover places wood underneath is showing through. Con # 4 the “human access” door is not a good fit. The crack we have after fitting all screws in place could allow mice or snakes to get in. At least the latch is place high enough the raccoons can’t reach. I would recommend putting stronger latches all around. Final thoughts We bought this after seeing the photos on the computer at our local store. There should be more photos clearer and all angles of the areas inside so the purchaser can make a better informed decision. (Think 1 square foot per chicken.Using that this coop fits 6 ) It’s a decent set up as long as the buyer is willing to do some painting, and a few modifications for the comfort of the birds to lay lots of eggs. Don’t have photos yet, it’s a work in progress.

NICE COOP

Nice coop but not painted well. Will need painting soon after assembly. Other than that it is well made. Takes about 4 hours to assemble if you are a handyman..

Sentinel Coop

I bought this. I built a wall under it to raise it up 12 inches to give them more room under the hen house. I love it. Takes time to put together but came together really well. We love it. Had no problems with it in two years. We did waterproof the floor inside to make clean up easy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

BUYER BEWARE, JUNK!

First let me say the staff at my local TS are great! This product however is a piece of junk! I would give it a zero if this would allow. Cheap, cheap cheap particle board that you will have to paint, Hardware missing, improperly welded parts that would not fit together. Has to make half dozen runs back to TS to get replacements. Don’t buy this!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Nice little coop

I really like this coop. I did have to make some modifications however to ensure safety and well being of the flock. 1st ventilation is poor. I had to add multiple air holes with wire mesh, add a fan and remove the window. This was for both winter and summer to reduce heat and avoid frostbite. There is a lot of condensation in winter and I have a small flock. 2nd the paneling needs to be painted and sealed. The locks are awful. They pop open, don't hold or get stuck. The slide locks on the nesting box rusted immediately and the door fills with water whenever it rains. Poop also ends up in the hinges everytime you open it, even with a shield. However, we are not unhappy with the coop and have made the simple modifications to make it work. In addition we put linoleum on the floor for easy clean up. We took off the side sliding door and put in a automatic one and covered the exterior with hardware cloth. We converted the space beneath the nesting boxes into storage and it is tall enough for the a couple of 6 gallon galvanized cans and a bag of PDZ. The door is able to hold the rake and scoop and supplies without hindering th chickens or interfering with 2x4 we added at the base for winter for the deep litter system. This is not big enough if you don't free range your chickens but all in all a nice little coop.

Yes, I recommend this product.
