I needed a coop fast for a blind chicken who was being targeted by the new leader of our flock. We safely separated her and the next day was able to have a fully assembled coop delivered to my home with free delivery! Thank you, Tractor Supply!

This coop is a great choice *if* you for sure add onto the run part. The coop part/where your chickens will sleep or lay eggs is great! Definitely weather proof, and secure. I personally have two of these coops, and have put them together by myself! The directions, way the parts are packaged and labeled are honestly great. The run part where the chickens can graze is small, but luckily I was able to put my coops in my built enclosed run, so they could have more grazing room. Plus, it adds the extra layer of protection from predators. The ventilation for heat is acceptable, I always open the side doors and prop them to stay open when it gets to be above a certain temp, and its been great. I personally wouldn't rely on just the circular vents to ensure any hens in the coop laying an egg wouldn't get too hot is all. Cleaning the coop is a breeze once you develop your own method. I dont usually pull out the pan to change the bedding, I have a scoop and tiny broom w/ a dust pan so I don't spill bedding everywhere. Then I pull the pan out and clean the pan. I also love the back hatch part where the nesting box is can be held by the tension rods (probably not the right name for the metal arms that hold it open) so that I can clean and gather eggs without smashing my hands, struggling with one hand or accidentally hurting a chicken. I definitely recommend this coop if you have a smaller flock, like less than 6 chickens for me personally, and you add onto their run for more grazing room/predator protection.

I bought this chicken coop to house some young pullets. It works great for them so far but is getting crowded as they grow (five months old Sept. 2026). Judging by their size compared to grown hens, the coop just isn't large enough for more than three grown birds. As far as the chicken coop itself, it has worked out great. Well designed and innovative for a temporary pen. Some of my ten pullets have already started laying and seem to approve of the three nests. Since the coop isn't predator proof, I put a 10'x10'x6' chain link dog kennel around the coop and used PVC pipes to support a heavy duty tarp to completely cover the top. It will soon be time to move the pullets to my regular chicken pen where they'll have more room.
