Great coop just keep up with any repairs and will last you years to come and add a flasher between the nest box and the roof to prevent water going in between

I bought this 1 1/2 yrs ago. Although it was cute, the craftsmanship is poor. The roof is completely water damaged especially the part over the run and rotting and the slider door broke apart in pieces. Definitely not worth $400 plus the taxes. At best I'd say it's worth $200. If all you want it for is a temporary shelter for about a year than you'll be good, otherwise I can't recommend investing in this. Also it fits 3 medium to large hens but I wouldn't recommend housing anymore than that in this coop. The roasting bar is far too narrow and close to the ground. It gets knocked out of place easily all the time. The ramp gets knocked down just as easily all the time by my girls. I will definitely be sharing this information as well with all my followers online and in all the chicken forums that I'm in. Please don't waste your hard earned money on this not even half rate coop. For the price paid for this I could have easily gone to th hardware store and bought materials and built a coop myself and it would have lasted for years to come.

Bought this coop 4 or 5 years ago. We use it as our transition coop. We located it within our large fenced area of our large chicken coop. When new chicks are ready to move outside they move to this one and get to see all the mature chickens and rooster through the fence. After a week or so they then move into the large coop with all the others. It works well for this purpose. However, the roof has not held up well. The flat yard roof went first. It does not drain. We replaced it with metal roofing. Then the nesting box roof went. Again replaced it with metal. One of the steep roofs has also been replaced. The metal tray that pulls out to clean is cold for the chicks. We bought a "stall mat" piece and cut it to fit in the tray. Solved the problem. Roost is not big enough for 6 chickens. Because we only use this coop for short periods it is not a problem for us. Bottom line, coop works for us and our use but has needed repairs. Repairs are not quick nor easy. As wood shows wear from the weather we will need to do more repairs or soon replace. Hasn't been a bad coop for the price.
