I bought one of these heat guns almost 40 years ago when I took on the task of stripping layers of paint off my old clapboard house. It worked beautifully and was a pleasure to use. I'm a professional artist, and since then, it's been an essential tool I regularly use as a "dryer" for treating my Masonite painting surfaces. My old red gun never stopped working; I've had to replace it because the wooden handle finally broke off. Not only was I happy and relieved to find an new heat gun, but they've also made some key improvements. I love the adjustable stand plate, an improved handle, and the nozzle is an inch longer with a heavier spark screen. This is a great, dependable tool that if my old one is any indication, will never wear out!.
