I have a water well that I would like to pump from to water lawn and garden. The well only has water a few months of the year. Water level is about 20 feet and the well casing is about 4 feet about ground level.

Asked by: Klr1225
This pump will pull at 20’ maximum depth to water so as long as he is positive that water depth stays the same it will work the pump has 1’’1/2 pipe in and 1’’1/2 out and will give 55 gallons per minute make sure what the pump is pulling in he can deliver out.

When used to pump lake water for general boathouse use and to connect to a hose bib for watering grass does the pump recirculate unneeded water? If so how long can the pump recirculate with no harm?

Asked by: Prissyotto
This pump cannot be used in the manner described unless it is equipped with the correct range pressure switch and a pressure tank. For technical support, please call 1-800-365-6832.

I will be pulling water from 2 500 gal. Tanks. I'm washing trailer out with about 75 ft. 3/4 "hose. Will this pump give me volume and pressure?

Asked by: David 48
This Pump is a low pressure, high volume pump. This pump is able to give you about 60 gpm at 20 psi. The most pressure the pump can do is 45 psi at 18 gpm. With a ¾” hose, you will get about 8 to 10 gpm. The destruction to the pump is the water that is not able to get out of the hose. The water that is not leaving the impeller is causing friction, which is heat loosing the efficiency of the unit. To get higher pressure and the gallons to go through the ¾” hose would be the CLTS5, (1028142). The most pressure that this unit will do is 65psi. This pump will get you 8.5gpm at 50psi, with the pressure switch. By using the pressure switch you will have to use a pre-charged tank. If you do not use a pre-charged tank, then you must never turn the water OFF, only the electricity to the pump.

The terminals for the power under the cap are not marked for the black and white leads. Installation instructions do not show either. I'm using the 115 setting. Does this motor run in reverse and forward if I reverse the positive and negative feeds?

Asked by: Silverton
Terminals L1 and L2 can receive either wire as it is not polarity sensitive.

Is this pump self priming?

Asked by: deedho
Yes, this is a self priming pump. If used on a daily or weekly basis it only needs to be primed on initial set up. If no water is in the pump or if it has not been used for a few months it will need to be reprimed.
