The Chief 3 in. Bore x 8 in. ASAE Stroke AT Alternative to Tie-Rod Cylinder features a snap ring on the rod end gland for easy field repair. Unlike a tie-rod, there are no bolts; simply remove the snap ring and you're ready to replace the cylinder's seals. This welded hydraulic cylinder provides value pricing without sacrificing quality. Before being sold, the hydraulic cylinder undergoes rigorous testing to ensure maximum reliability and performance.Note: This product may require up to 2 additional days for order processing prior to shipping

- A: Howdy neighbor! The outer diameter (OD) of the Chief 3 in. Bore AT Alternative to Tie-Rod Cylinder is exactly 3.5 inches, which may be too large for your existing clearance if your current cylinder is just under 3 inches.a month agoHelpful?
Q: This cylinder indicates to is manufactured to work as a double or single action cylinder. If operating as a single action, what other parts are needed, e.g. vent plug, etc?

- A: The only item required to use the 297121 in single acting mode is the addition of a breather plug on the rod end of the cylinder (if powering up on the base end.) We would recommend Bailey part number 237257, which you can Special Order at your local TSC Store.5 years agoHelpful?

Good product with quality brand name. I failed to notice this was not a tie-rod end cylinder. So there is no adjustment.

Almost perfect fit. My old cylinder had pipe thread ports and the new cylinder has Oring boss ports. Just had to buy Oring boss fittings.
