Duke is known both for its early season fruit, which is large with a firm, crisp texture, and its high yield of berries. The fruit has a tangy, sweet, delicate flavor. This blueberry bush is an attractive plant with white, pink-tinged flowers in the spring; large, light blue berries in the summer; and vibrant yellow and orange fall foliage. It is a great plant to use for landscape design, as well as in the garden or berry patch. This bush can grow up to six feet tall at maturity. While self-pollinating, this variety benefits from cross-pollination with other cultivars, producing even larger yields.

Blueberries on the vine at arrival!

Duke blueberry bush is a great variety! Ours had blueberries on the bush upon arrival. We had a Duke in Nebraska, it is hearty and produces lots of delicious fruit!

Disappointed

Disappointed - arrived with yellowing leaves, small plant, very shallow root system. It looked as if it was put in a gallon pot at the last minute and filled with soil. The root ball was very small - could have reasily been in a quart pot. It was overpriced.

Disappointed

I ordered 2 Blueberry bushes at the same time. The Duke Blueberry bush arrived slightly yellow and appeared that it had recently been stuck in the 1 gallon pot. (Pictured on the left $29.99) The other bush (on the right $39.99) was from the same order, but the supplier was Bushel and Berry. For about 10 dollars more the other bush was potted well, arrived green and healthy, and as you can see, 3 times the size.
