  • A: Hello. M111 is a vigorous semi-dwarfing apple rootstock, also known as EMLA 111 or MM111, that produces an apple tree about 85% the size of a standard tree. It is known for its strong adaptability and disease resistance, and we have had great success with it.

1 Answer
  • A: What causes these attractive trees to drop their leaves mid-summer? The answer is a fungal disease called apple scab. A fungus called Venturia inaequalis infects crabapple leaves early in the spring. As the fungus grows in the developing leaves, it causes purplish-brown spots, often clustered along the leaf veins.

Nice tree

Tree arrived in beautiful condition and well-wrapped. Even when it was delivered upside down, it was well-packaged enough to have no damage. The tree seems to be doing well so far, hopefully will survive the winter!

Bought the tree it had green leaves, went to plant and noticed some root rot. As there was no option to return or exchanged, I planted with hopes it would recover. The leaves have turned brown and it’s failed the scratch test.

No, I do not recommend this product.
