- A: Turf Builder Florida Lawn Food can be applied the same day or any time after you seed. Normally, people sow grass seed and apply Starter Lawn Food for New Grass the same day to minimize disruption to the seedbed. Starter Lawn Food for New Grass contains phosphorous which is very important for establishing new grass. Fertilizers can then be reapplied in 6 - 8 week intervals throughout the growing season.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this the best product to use to feed grass but not weeds? Told best way to combat weeds is to support healthy grass but the weeds are winning. Told that weed and feed will kill southern mixed grass as well. HELP!

The products are spot on! I have continously used both weed and feed and turf builder for decades! One item, I wish there was a way to only receive specials that were applicable to my area, Southern Florida. Thank you and a way to sort products by location on the website would be a plus! Tks again

I used this on my lawn in Spring Hill Florida at the beginning of Spring and again beginning of summer. It:s July 21st, and my lawn looks green again. Sprinklers and rain helped too.
