Great Coop!

This is our first coop and chickens. The coop was very easy to assemble. The coop its self is large, the run is decent, of course we will be letting are 7 chickens free roam. The wood seems to be pretty sturdy, no water entered the coop during rain, the chickens seem to love it.!!! Two drawers underneath pull out for easy cleaning. Also, the wood is stained not painted, so no paint chipping. There are to vents towards the top on the sides that open and close. After much deliberation, we chose this coop over making are own, we estimated the cost of doing it ourselves verse buying and after including time and labor we decided to go ahead and purchase it. Glad we did its a nice sturdy coop and love the red barn look!!!!

Poor quality

My son saved and bought this for his chickens. We set it up as instructions said and had splitting wood right away. This was purchased in June, and in September he has had to replace the nests due to rotting and has had more broken wood. Very sad for a expensivepurchase. He wanted to move it for the winter, but it will not tolerate it. Do not recommend.

After reading many reviews, they are right. Little flimsy, soft wood & many pannel gaps. However I got it for 400 shipped. I did some extrea bracing on the walls (using the wood from the pallet) and elevated it off the ground to help prevent rotting. Would I recommend, as a starter coop on a budget yes. If you have 1000 or 1500 budgeted build your own.

We ordered this coop just to get us started with chickens. We knew it wouldn’t be the best quality. It was a lot cheaper made than we thought. It now has been put together for just about 2 months. We have 4 chickens and 1 rooster. The side door is breaking. The wood is cracking in half and not allowing us to close the door securely. The hinges on the nesting box door have fallen off. And the nesting box looks like it is even sagging. Like I said, we knew we weren’t getting top quality when ordering this, but it was a lot worse than we thought. The design could be a little better too. It would be nice if there was a door on top of the run for better access into the run for cleaning purposes. The roofing is already pealing off and coming unglued. Again, it’s only 2 months old and we are having these issues already. Predator proof???? Probably not. Super light weight. A good gust of wind will send this thing flying! Definitely wouldn’t buy this again.
