This coop is awesome and has lots of room. It is certainly an upgrade from the one I had before. The chickens really enjoy the high roosting bar at the top. The coop was well protected from damage because it does come in a wood crate. It took up the entire bed of the truck and then some to bring it home. My husband put it together for me and it took him about 6 hours or so. The instructions were so-so. The paint is very very thin...it almost looks like just primer. We are going to put a coat of paint on it and caulk to seal it a little more. The roof material is deceiving because in the pictures it appears to be metal, but it is a plastic material. It is something that I fear may crack from the sun over time, but we will see what happens. The nesting boxes are in an awesome location because they elevated and far from the roosting area so they do not collect poop from other areas of the coop. In our old coop the chickens used to sleep in the nesting boxes and poop in there but not anymore! The windows are a very nice feature! I think they will enjoy the ability for me to open the windows for a breeze on hot nights! They have a wire mesh that protects the chickens from predators even if the windows are left open at night. Overall, the size is amazing, the quality is medium (it is made in China and the parts are a bit cheap...but paint can help), the floorplan is amazing, and the chickens love it! For the price and convenience of not having to build a coop from scratch I do think it is worth it.

My new flock isn’t in the coop yet but I am reviewing based on assembly and general overall view of the coop.  So I love the actual look of the coop.  Super cute! Paint is more of a primer as most people did say in reviews.  Best advice I can give is make sure to assemble this on level ground and where you want it. It’s VERY HEAVY!!! A total pain to move.  Let’s just say my flock isn’t in it yet bc of those two reasons.  I would say the directions for the most part are pretty good. Comes in A lot of pieces. Myself and my 10 year old built this together it did take all day.  My husband could have done it quicker I’m sure he’s a construction worker however I may have lost his mind building it and it would have been in a million pieces.  So I took this as a good building project for my son and I’m glad we did it.  Would I recommend it to anyone? Yes but don’t think it’s going to be easy breezy.  I’ve had to paint the whole thing we need add caulk, waterproof flooring for added protection, I even did some wallpaper to jazz it up but that wasn’t necessary.  Screws are cheap some stripped. Love that you can walk into it!! Also love the quality of the roofing panels better than the stuff I’ve seen at hardware stores and far better than the other small coop options tractor supply has great update there! Things I wish it had was w poop shelf of some sort I no this design that would be challenging.  The door is there was a way to open the top and there was a screen or hardware cloth to allow more ventilation if needed.  For us the chicken door placement isn’t the best but we will make it work that’s just a personal set up thing.  We will be adding brackets to add flowers to the front and a solar barn light.
