Issues but happy

We purchased two of these and were able to connect them with a little thinking outside the box. Were able to use all of the roofing and it turned out wonderful. There were a couple of broken pieces we tried to get replaced and that was a nightmare. Decided to wood glue and zip tie and you can't tell we every had a problem. I have 6 chickens that are so happy. They sleep on one side and lay in the other. I'm not sure if I would have more than 10 because it could get a little crowded.

Workable- Not ideal

I’ve had this up for four months now. We have 6 hens and this is a bit on the small side for them. They free range most of the day. The good- You can customize and have a very attractive coop, I appreciate the use of hardware cloth in the panels. Overall, it is a workable coop but I expect to have to replace it in 1-2 years. The not so good- Like many others, the first one we got was smashed in shipping and the new one was delayed. Plan ahead. Also, plan to spend about 5,744 hours painting. It takes forever. Lots of taping and detail work. We primed with waterproof primer and then used exterior house paint. Also, plan to upgrade hardware. Overall, the actual building was the easiest part. The build came together in an hour with two people. We added an automatic door and hardware cloth apron. We also added waterproof contact paper (meant for kitchen counters) to the inside of the pull out litter pan. Prevents rust and makes clean up easy. Unfortunately, getting the pan to pull out is a giant pain. It swells with the weather and becomes unusable. Also, the roosts are very low and my hens want to sleep in the nest box. Overall, it is workable but not ideal.

POOR QUALITY

NO way 10-15 chickens, maybe 4 full size chickens. The ramp is too short and steep for the chickens and broke off within a month. EXTREMELY cheaply made. ALL hardware needs to be reinforced to protect form predators.

Don’t recommend

I’ve had this coop for a couple of years. We use it as the brooder/grow out coop and nothing else. The floor sank out of it so fit in some pressure treated 2x4 and laid metal flooring on top of that so the chicks don’t fall through. The ramp is too steep for the chicks (12 weeks old) and we lost a bunch due to them not making it up the ramp. They huddled in the back corner of the run under the coop where there is no access unless you are teeny tiny. We painted before assembly and from the get go, had issues here and there. Wouldn’t recommend.

Not worth the price

started rotting at under 1 year, i coated it with waterproof sealant. The interior is what has rotted and even the metal pull out tray has rusted and has holes. For the price of this coop I would expect a little more, and at this point I am not sure what to do.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Cheap wood and roof

The roof broke during the first storm we had a branch cracked the plastic and went straight through. The sliding door splintered and broke after a few months, the wood expands so easily with the slightest amount of water and makes it to where you can open or close the door and gate
