Flax Lily is a rapid growing ornamental grass that is perfect for use in shaded areas of the garden. Where other plants may have struggled, this resilient lily will thrive! Flax Lily is hardy in zones 9-11, but can tolerate cooler zone 8 temperatures with limited dieback due to its tough, rhizomatic root system. This plant produces dainty violet blooms each spring that transform into exotic looking blue ornamental berries by mid summer. Extremely easy to care for and pollinator friendly!
- Offer contains (1) Dianella Flax Lily in a 3 gallon grower container
- Maure size 2-3' tall and 1-3' wide
- Best grown in USDA hardiness zones 9-11; performs well as an annual in all other zones
- Performs best in full sun; tolerant to partial shade
- Thrives in well-draining soil with consistent moisture
- Produces violet flowers in spring that mature into ornamental berries mid summer
- Great for use in shade gardens as a border or mass planting
- This plant is considered toxic to humans and pets if ingested
- This product ships year round, please be mindful of active weather when placing orders to avoid temperature related damage
