Goji Berries are juicy, sweet, and very high in antioxidants! These brilliant-red berries are delicious eaten fresh, dried, or frozen. Goji berry plants grow tall and wide, with a mounding habit. The blooms are purple/white in early summer and then turn into scarlet red fruit in the fall. Goji berries are drought tolerant but prefer rich moist, well-drained soil. They are also self-pollinating and a heavy producer. Goji Berry is a dormant plant selected by DeGroot, offering you the opportunity to get a head start to the season! Due to its dormant state, this plant may lack foliage until it is planted. There is no need to wait until after frost, this may be planted as soon as the ground is workable. This early planting prevents transplant shock and allows it more time to develop its root system. If your plant does have foliage, provide protection from frost. Depending on the climate and weather experienced after planting, this plant could take up to 4-6 weeks to break dormancy and show signs of growth.Guaranteed to Grow* Product must be purchased before June 1st. A few months in and I already have berries!!

This is an update to my last review a few months ago. Let me tell you, the photos speak for themselves. I can't seem to control the growth on these 2 goji shrubs. They are already producing flowers and berries!!!! Check out the pics. I'm so excited to see what next year brings!! Remember, water water water when you first plant it. Plant in bagged manure... that's what I did anyway. My josta berry is also doing very well, but is a very slow grower.

A nice, fast growing little Goji!

Purchased two of these little dried up bags of dirt with a little dormant stick in them which had been sitting on the store shelf for who knows how long. Planted them in full sun with processed manure, mulched them and watered daily and within a few days there was new growth. The attached photos are less than 2 weeks later! I have to admit, I was a little surprised that there were thorns on them, but I will worry about that later. Right now, they look like they will be promising little bushes, just be sure to WATER WATER WATER them DAILY until fully established and a strong bush. Can't wait for fruit in a few years.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Thank you for taking the time to post this review and for bringing this to our attention. Our Goji Berry is a dormant, packaged bare root plant intended to be without foliage (leaves) while in the store. Dormant plants such as these offer the opportunity to jumpstart spring planting because they can be planted in the ground earlier than potted plants. Depending on the climate and weather experienced after planting, this plant could take up to 3-4 weeks to break dormancy and show signs of growth. At DeGroot, we strive to provide high quality plants that have high success rates for the home gardener at fair and reasonable prices. We encourage you to contact us at (269) 468-6714 or [email protected] so we may assist you further.

Thank you,
DeGroot Inc.
