This chicken coop was easy to assemble, sturdy and very user friendly. I will definitely order extra panels to add to their run, but it is perfect for my 4 chickens.

For the price, this is great. Sure there are some things I wish were different (bigger run, better waterproofing for sideways rain, wire underneath the coop), but I can't complain for $500. I was able to modify the door and install an automatic door - just needed to angle grind the spot welds of the channel that the existing door slides in to remove those metal channels from around the chicken door opening. You could probably cut those spot welds with a hack saw if you needed to. Then I installed plywood on the inside of the door to provide a backing to screw 3/4" boards to, to make a flush surface to screw on the automatic door. Next project is lengthening the run with 5' fence stakes and 1/2" hardware cloth. I did install hardware cloth underneath the whole coop since just the removable coop floor is the barrier between the ground and the chickens. You do also need six 1" roofing screws to attach the final roof cap to the coop. I was able to put this coop together on my own. I do like having the paver stones as a foundation, but I will need to use hardware cloth, wood, or something to bridge the gap between the run panels and the ground now that my coop is a little off of the ground. The coop is definitely designed to be on perfectly level ground.

Chicken coop door is cheap MDF and as soon as it gets wet it swells up and no longer functions. Beware if adding an automatic door because the sizing is so different that basically no automatic door fits. Door to get the eggs comes with cheap hatches Roost bars are barely long enough to stay up, one of mine is so short it doesn’t even stay up.
