Builds Strong Chickens and Healthy Eggs

Making egg shells takes a lot of calcium, and some laying hens can create as much as one egg per day. DuMOR Oyster Shell is a calcium supplement designed to ensure your birds lay healthy eggs organically. Offer to your birds in a separate container from their feed and watch as they instinctively take the amount their bodies need to create strong, unblemished eggs.

We Love Chickens and Know Just What Their Bodies Require

Who better to make food for pets than farmers? At Tractor Supply Company, we bring our deep passion for land and animals to the center of our products and services. By sourcing the best local produce, utilizing superior water purification processes and thoroughly testing our formulas, we guarantee excellent quality food for your chickens.

Great for Cleaning Corn Burning Stoves

DuMOR Oyster Shell is also recommended as an additive to promote clean burning in corn burning stoves. Consult your stove's manual to see if oyster shell is recommended for your stove and follow the manufacturer's directions for proper use.

DuMOR Oyster Shell, 5 lb. is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money, not one chicken used it. The product is much too large and not one out of hundreds of chickens ate any of it. A complete waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Steel wool pieces I found fuzzy blobs of steel wool pieces in my 5-pound bag of DuMOR Oyster Shell. Not a lot but enough to have me spreading out the product and picking through before I put it out for my girls. There is a thread on the Backyard Chickens forum talking about this right now and it seems it's also an issue with the Manna Pro brand and it looks like DuMOR and Manna Pro might be from the same suppliers? It seems that steel wool is used to scrub the shells during processing and some of it comes off and gets mixed with the end product. I'm not sure what the health implications are here but it's a little disturbing to see this when you're pouring out the oyster shell. I will be looking for another source of oyster shell in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I consider this a must for my layer hens! My hens just started laying eggs about two weeks ago and i have only gotten two with hard shells. i heard great reviews about this product so i gave it a try and i haven't had a soft shell problem at all while using it. Also the hens love it and it seems like they are happier with their eggs too!
