Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy and sassy chicks..all 11 of them My 11 guinea chicks came home 10 days ago and are healthy and hilarious. I have them in a large brooder with 7 pullets and a baby roo. They will be cooped with the chickens so starting everyone off together. Sweet little guineas pile up with the chicks at bedtime and snuggle. Growing like weeds... I have no idea how many are hens and how many boys...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 11 healthy guineas! Received 11 healthy guineas 2 weeks ago. No problems with illness so far. The hatchery that supplies TSC was out of guineas on their website, but I was still able to get them through TSC. They shipped on a Monday and arrived on Wednesday with tracking info.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pros and Cons I purchased my guineas after being told in store that is the only way I could buy them. They listing was easy to find with a good description of basically what to expect from the process of buying the guineas online but not necessarily what physical health condition they may arrive in, nor what current age they would be when shipped. They did ship and arrive in appropriate time frame, but they ended up only being 2/3 days old & we lost 2 of them in the first 48 hours of receiving them.

Do you send instructions on how to raise them from just hatched? Can a beginner hobby farmer successful raise these chicks or is this particular “item” for the more advanced farmer?

Asked by: Laura99
Beginning hobby farmers can raise guineas successfully and many actually have them with chicks because they alert to predators and are excellent managing ticks and other bugs. There are special instructions as to game feed rather than chick feed and they do take more heat than a chick when started. Please call 641-323-6100 and we would provide you instructions by email if you would like

My chickens ripped up my flower garden, while foraging. Will guineas do the same?

Asked by: mja966
Guineas, in general do not have a reputation as strong foragers so oyu should not see issues with them in your garden.
