The product itself is very good. The problem is some stores will keep this outside and this is supposed to be a moisture absorbing product. If the packaging has been compromised in any way, the bag is no good. If condensation builds up inside a sealed package, the bag is no good. Before going to store find out if they store inside or outside.

Delivery pickers choose dried out bags

Whenever I seem to order the pine pellets for delivery I always receive a bag so dried out they appear black and dark dark brown in color as opposed to the typical light tan/pine color, they don’t break down as typically intended when this dry. Compared to when I shop in store I can always get a fresh bag that never has this issue but they are heavy and difficult to transport for me.
