Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice coop This is a very cute little chicken coop. Its easy to get into it to clean and collect eggs. I wish they actually made a bottom piece for the ramp to connect to tho be ause it makes it difficult to move it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works okay We use the coop for bunnies. They can go up and down the ramp just fine and we love the extra room compared to the bunny hutches. The only problem with it is the wood in the bottom of the coop box. It is made of particle board and is not meant to get wet. With any animal there will some kind of wetness in there - it should have been a more sturdy wood.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from How I feel about it Very cheaply made. Not big enough for the # of chickens that it claims it will work for. Definitely not worth the money. Took it back and got a refund.

Is this coop good for ducks? I have two ducks and want to build a coop, but if this works...

Asked by: Wiizel
The ramp is fairly steep and typically ducks are not inclined to climb up a ramp.

Is this recommended to be placed on grass or soil? Are there anchors?

Asked by: PeachyKeens
This can be placed on grass or soil. The most important thing is that the ground is perfectly level. Anchors are not included. If you live in a area with high winds, you will want to provide addtional protection.

Can you install this on a hill? And if so how? One answer said it must be perfectly level so I'm concerned as we live on a hill.

Asked by: Maverick112
This coop must be assembled on perfectly level ground.

What product is recommended for wood protection against uv rays and basic weather elements rain light snow etc.  I do not live in a extreme environment  area.  I called thompsons  and they said they do not recommend their products for painted wood.

Asked by: CoopNC
You could either use a clear polyurethane or paint the wood. Then maintain as you would any other outdoor wood furniture in your climate.

Should this be placed on blocks or anything to keep it it off the ground.

Asked by: RickyPJr
It can be built on the ground. Some customers prefer to keep it off the ground and build it that way.

Where is the best spot to make a hole to run an extension cord for a heat lamp?  I live in Michigan and don’t want to freeze my chickie girls.

Asked by: Jill Nichols
We do not recommend using a heat lamp due to the high risk of fire.

I just purchased the coop and I would like to put an automatic door opener on it. Any recommendations???

Asked by: Laura Nelson
Unfortunately, we do not manufacture automatic doors. I would contact the manufacturer of that product and ask for recommendations and requirements.
