They work but not last long anymore

These pumps were good for awhile, but just aren’t what they used to be… I have bought at least 12 to 15 of these 4 inch over the last decade. I would usually get at least 3 to 5 years of nearly issue free usage out of them before it wasn’t worth repairing them. Now I’ve had 2 of my latest units fail in five months to one year doing the exact same or even less work. The newer generation has a smaller tank too bs the older one, I loved having them, but the last few I bought just fall apart in many ways.. I’ve always had impeller case issues, after 2-3 years it would split or have holes that would allow water to shoot out all over… But lately I feel the carburetors have more issues, the on/off switch breaks in under a year, they leak fluid thru the valve cover and the exhaust falls apart in 2 to 3 months. I had one of my last 2 pumps seize up and was junk in 3 months… The good thing is that almost any Part from a Honda engine fits.. But they just aren’t worth keeping for anything more than occasional usage.

No, I do not recommend this product.
