I have had this pump for 5 or so years now so it is time to give my props to Generac. My pump has sat exposed,on the ground, on the bank of my creek the entire time I have owned it. 365 days a year no matter the weather. I pump water up a 75 ft hill into a pond twice a week, year round. In the winter I drain it between uses. 3 years ago I forgot to drain it one evening and the pump housing cracked. Even after that It still pushes enough pressure to send the water up that hill so I never replaced it. Too expensive. I have only drained and changed the oil once. I use regular gas...not premium. This thing has never let me down...despite my near neglect...and it shows no sign of quitting yet! My suction hose just quit on me though. It doesnt flex well in the cold anymore and snapped in half. If you take care of this pump I have no doubt it will last you your lifetime.

Just bought 5 months ago, won't start. Carburetor is shot. hasn't had that much use, should last longer than that. Called Generac said they would get back with us, Have heard nothing. Would like them to stand behind their product. Randy

Pump seemed good for the price. Owned for exactly 3yrs and maybe 20hrs run time. Wouldn’t start took to repair shop was told engine has no compression so engine is junk. Did like the pump while it worked, but only 20 hrs of use and engine gives.

So I bought this pump to run a hi banker for capturing gold, I've now owned two of these exact pumps and both of them right out of the box have something wrong with the fuel delivery, it runs fine then bogs down then runs fine then bogs down. I'm thinking it might be the jetting that they run factory in the carburetor I believe it's running lean
