Strawberry, botanically known as Fragaria, is a low-growing herbaceous, hybrid perennial of cultivated origin. It is grown in home vegetable gardens around the world for its magnificent tasting fruit. Plants will spread over time by over-ground runners that root forming new plants increasing its yield and harvest annually. Plants are five-petaled, producing flowers first which give way to fruit. With the high cost of fruits and vegetables in the grocery store, why not simply grow your own in your own back yard. You'll have much fresher cleaner food to eat, improving your health while saving money on groceries. Eclair is a junebearing strawberry variety which, as the name suggests, produces one crop of fruit per year, typically June hence its name. Junebearers are sensitive to the hours of light and send out runners as the day length increases. Junebearing berries are normally larger than the berries produced by everbearing or day-neutral plants. This makes them desirable for gardeners who seek a consistent supply of berries over a longer period. Eclair's fruit is deep red on the exterior, with a lighter red interior and a rich and sweet flavor with some tartness. Their texture is firm yet juicy with a strong aroma adding to their appeal. They are vigorous plants and easy to grow with good disease resistance. Adaptable to a range of growing conditions.Ships to 48 contiguous US states, plus the District of Columbia EXCEPT IDAHO

Completely lifeless roots

I am an old gardener and have bought and grown many bare root strawberries. I soaked the roots an hour and planted in prepared beds. After 2plus weeks there is NO sign of any growth at all. I believe these roots were dug too far in advance of shipping or the length of time it took to ship was too long and no live left in them. Expedited shipping should have been used to get them to the local Tractor Supply store. I don’t recommend buying from this seller.

Can't wait to plant my Van Zyverden June-Bearing S

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get the Van Zyverden's June-Bearing Strawberry Plant.. I haven't yet planted it because it arrived after time to plant, but will definitely plant it next spring after last frost of the season.. from what I've gathered they are easy to grow and have good disease resistance. I will definitely update as soon as I've planted and get first fruit..I've read the strawberries are very fragrant, juicy, bigger than average, and very sweet and delicious.. They also beat fruit in June..

Great packaging, thorough instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product complimentary in exchange for my honest review. This was a really cool way to start plants without having to grow them from a seed! I got my starts and they came very nicely packaged in a bag within a well-padded box. The starts came with thorough instructions for how to separate the starts, plant them, and care for them. I waited too long to plant mine due to a conflicting vacation so I’m not sure they’re actually going to grow but the overall experience of receiving the starts and the instructions they came with was great. Would definitely recommend these!

Sweetest treat is fresh strawberries

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these strawberries as a promo for Influenster and they came all bundled up it was easy to see top to root and I planted them in my yard. I loved that the bag was biodegradable that it came in and that it had instructions on how far to plant apart and that it was full sun. Our weather proved pretty hot and than I had flooding rain so my strawberries didn’t make it. I would love to order some more and try again in pots so it is easier to move when the rains in Florida hit.
