The Tarter 300 lb. Farm and Ranch Equipment ATV 5-Bushel Pull-Behind Spreader/Trail Feeder is an ATV or garden-tractor spreader for fertilizing and seeding applications. This tow-behind spreader features an all-steel gear drive, complete with grease fittings. You can spread up to 20 ft. wide, covering approximately 65,000 sq. ft. This ATV spreader requires no outside power and features pneumatic tires. It requires a 2 in. ball for hookup.

Q: Can you disengage the driver to pull it from spot to spot so as to not have to haul it from food plot to food plot and be anle to pull it without the geat box soinning

- A: Yes, there is a hand-removable thick steel pin that locks the distribution spinner to the wheel axle. Remove the pin to stop the spinner, put the pin back in to engage the spinner. The pin has a wire bale attached that prevents the pin from accidentally falling out when in use.5 years agoHelpful?

Huge Time Saver

So far, five stars!! Used it a few times already for food plots. Saves a ton of time being able to spread lime, fertilizer and seed all at once. Hook a drag or cultipacker to back and you’re doing just about all with one pass. Not exactly cheap but we all learn sooner or later: you get what u pay for so you might as well buy once, cry once. Seems very well built. Looks like it will last a real long time with proper cleaning and spray down after each use.

Although I haven’t used the equipment yet the customer service at the TS in Lexington, VA couldn’t have been more professional or helpful! I could have purchased this unit at a number of places the support I received at TS will be my first choice on other purchases.

i have 3 other seeders and none of them are as easy to use as this one. it made getting my planting done in half of the time it usually takes.
