For those complaining about the product not spreading Bermuda grass seed, the Bermuda seed should be mixed with dry sand at a 5 lb sand to 1 lb Bermuda seed. This goes for any type of spreader. Bermuda seed is too small to be broadcast alone. Keep the slide open 1/16' to 1/8" with sand and seed mix. Likely nothing wrong with this spreader.

While spreading grass seeds I had trouble getting it to work properly. I found the seeds were being pulverized into a fine powder at to bottom of the tub which stopped up the ports and nothing would come out. When I purchased the 3 point spreader/seeder I assumed it would be configured to spread seeds, lime and fertilizer. What I didn't know until I actually purchased and used the spreader was that you have to purchase a different agitator in order to spread seeds. I've looked on the manufacturer website and I am unable to find a part number for the seed agitator. If I am unable to get the part it will render the spreader useless to me.
