Q: 12 ga. is not even 1/8 of an inch thick and the fire rate is low at 1200° for only 30 minutes. And you say it weighs over 600 lbs. ? If the weight is because of fire insulation then the fire rate would be much higher.

Cheap crap

I have a Stack-on gun safe witch is rarely opened. The electronic lock stopped working. I went to Stack-on's website for help. There is no phone number. I submitted 3 service tickets over the course of many days with no response. I used their online texting and they keep asking me multiple times to give information I had already provided. Then they cut off communications. Customer service is non existent. Do not buy Stack-on products.
No, I do not recommend this product.

My experiance

It was just what I was looking for. Great price, keypad and back up key lock. However a mechanism inside the door broke and locked all of my guns in it as soon as I had just got it all set up. Big bummer. Still haven't gotten a replacement
