My somewhat high-strung thoroughbred mare, though good with me, not so much with my wonderful farrier. After only 3 hrs. of having dosed her, we both agreed she was more calm and cooperative then ever before. (If I can manage to dose her 4hrs before her trim next time, expecting even better results. TBC.)

I moved my horse to a new, much busier farm 2 weeks ago and she's been on edge a lot. We had the farrier out today and I decided to try this because I was worried she'd be too anxious to stand well for a trim. Gave it to her 3 hours before farrier arrived and I think it really helped! She was still worried and a bit nervous when loud noises happened or somebody walked by but much, MUCH calmer than I expected her to be. We got the trim done quickly with minimal issues. I'll be ordering more to have on hand while she adjusts to her new place.

My mare is high strung and will end a ride wringing wet. She is very responsive and obedient and does not act different during heat cycles. I used a tube of the SmartPak Ultra Calm. She was aware of everything around her and we had an amazing trail ride. The biggest difference I noticed was she was not soaking wet when done. She was wet where she was supposed to be but not soaked with nervous energy.

I started using this after my young OTTB seemed a little too stressed at our first recognized event. This settles him just enough so that he eats his hay keeps his belly happy. This does not make him nappy at all! It is just enough to keep him calm, happy, and in tune with me.
