This was ok. I don’t see any of the supposed benefits working so I’ve been just treating it like an ordinary poll pad. I’m not the biggest fan of the size it’s quite wide and my horse gets annoyed with it touching him behind his ears. I also thought the Velcro attachments would be fine but after a few weeks of it on it’s gotten frayed and I think it just looks bulky. I got the Smartpak memory foam poll pad as well and I much prefer that one. Much sleeker and no Velcro. I only got this one as well because it was supposed to have a calming effect on the horse but I think my horse is so annoyed with the bulkiness of it that it’s having the opposite effect.

I only just got this in the mail and am frustrated to learn that there IS a reason that one style is more expensive. The more expensive on has magnets which this one does not. You only find that out once you get the item and read the info on the box which has a "* If using the SMART version ( with magnets ) , use over the poll and/ or browband to promote calming and reduce anxiety. So this is exactly why I purchased this because I thought the basic Benefab one was supposed to do that .

The Benefab® Therapeutic Poll Pad is so easy to use. I have been using it on the poll area of my horse's bridle for about 2 months now. For the past 4 months, I have had a chiropractor working on my horse, Lucky's, neck, and head area. He has been very stiff going to the right. It's hard for him to bend at the poll when getting on the bit. It has helped support his normal recovery, aiding in loosening his poll, keeping his muscles supple, relaxed, and making him less anxious while riding. I use it for about 1 hour 3-4 times a week while riding. When you touch under the pad, you can feel the warming effect. I noticed a difference pretty fast, probably after about half a dozen uses. The chiropractor noticed the improvements as well. It is super easy to use. The Benefab® Therapeutic Poll Pad attaches with four velcro closures. I have only used it in the poll area with my bridle. It can be used with the bridle or halter and not only on the poll. It can help with anxiety when positioned on the browband. The material does not leave sweat marks under the crown piece even though it creates warmth. It is very breathable. I have machine-washed it on delicate and hung it out to dry. I highly recommend the Benefab® Therapeutic Poll Pad!!!!
