The Pirtle Nursery Black Tartarian Cherry fruit tree is a productive, early-bearer bloomer to large, cherry-red to purplish-black fruit. With an irresistible sweet, rich flavor is perfect for juice and fresh-eating. Introduced to the U.S. in the late 1700s, it is an ideal pollinator for other sweet cherries. Ripens in June, co-pollinator required. Blooms early with white flowers, requires full sun and well-drained soil.
