Q: Can you install this on an existing 8” dia flue pipe. Do you drill 2 holes (one in each side of pipe) & then while holding cast iron flue piece inside pipe w/ one hand thread pin through from outside & voila? How does it stay? Cotter pins?

- A: Yes, this item should be installed in an 8" diameter pipe. You would need to drill two holes for the pin to go through. There are no cotter pins that attach. Once the pin is inserted into the damper and through the second hole, it will stay in place due to the shape of the pin and damper.3 years agoHelpful?
