The Rutland 500 deg. F RTV High-Heat Silicone is an excellent solution to your sealant and adhesive needs. Because not only is this a powerful adhesive, but it will also seal gasses and smoke permanently. There are limitless uses in the home or even on a job site. Use Rutland silicone sealant to seal fireplace inserts, repair solar panels, apply ceramic tiles to your fireplace surround or heat shielding behind your stove. Put on a chimney cap and know it will stay on in any weather and be flexible while dealing with hot smoke. Rutland's high-temperature silicone adhesive sealant will adhere to most clean surfaces, including glass, metal, plastics, fiberglass, wood, brick, and stone.

Great stuff!

One year ago, I bought this to use in my DIY solar heater so it had to withstand temps from approximately 0 (external temp) to 120+ (internal temp of heater). Also I had to join several different materials: wood, rigid insulation, plexiglass. This caulk worked like a charm!
