RUTLAND Grapho-Glas Stove Gasket Kits include both high-quality gasketing in convenient rope or tape, plus cement to allow the DIY homeowner to confidently replace worn-out gaskets in wood stoves, coal stoves, outdoor wood boilers, and fireplace inserts. This graphite-impregnated gasketing resists abrasion, creosote adhesion, and temperatures up to 1000 degrees F (530 degrees C) and is braided to resist fraying. The kit also contains a 1.35 oz. tube of RUTLAND E-Z Spread Fiberglass Stove Gasket Cement to attach the provided gasketing securely.

I got an older product with dry adhesive

The gasket material was the right stuff. The gasket adhesive must be old as it would not come out of the tube. I kneaded it and cut the spout off for a 1/8" bead. It would not come out. I cut most of the spout off and still it would not come out. I had to cut the tube open and used a stick to dig out the adhesive to apply. There was no legible date code. Fortunately i bought the last kit on the shelf.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Total waste of money. Had to buy second kit, adhesive was bad in both kits! Trash!!
