"US Stove" is Chinese Garbage

Spring to short so doesn't lock the bent section of the cross rod into the tapered part of the casting. After stretching the spring out the rod can still turn in the casting in one direction with a little back pressure. Also, when the rod is (sort of) locked in position the handle doesn't align with the damper plate so you wouldn't know in what position the damper is in unless you happen to remember that it is 30 degrees off (and which way was that?). As it wasn't worth the drive back to the store I stretched the spring, did a little filing in the damper plate and twisted the handle to align it with the installed plate. what a piece of garbage.
