Q: do these hoses have a specific btu flow rating or are all of them the same flow rate? has to do with the excess flow control in the "acme" head?

- A: According to the vendor, the "Mr Heater 18” Acme Flexible Pigtail hose assembly has a SAFETY DEVICE called an Excess Flow, that would RESTRICT gas flow out of a DAMAGED or LEAKING HOSE. This would not affect the flow rate thru the hose normally unless the hose was damaged. The flow rate for this hose should be over 100,000 BTUs.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Does this hook a propane bottle directly to the Mr Buddy heater where the bottle would go or is this used to refill the little green propane bottles

Great product. Just be aware getting any connecting adapters may be a challange with out the correct knowledge of the various pipe thread systems like NPT, FIP, etc.

Faulty Product

As others have stated this product is faulty. Got a warranty replacement and both items were manufactured in 04/2022 and neither one can handle even 10psi before the internal "regulator" stops all flow. Why is there even some regulator built in when the purpose of this hose is to connect a high pressure tank to an actual regulator, pretty dumb design.

Manufacturing error

There is a problem with the manufacturing of this product. It hooks up to the propane tank but does not let propane through the hose. I’ve seen several of the same complaints by other customers. Would give 0 starts if it were an option:
