- A: Mounting recommendations. 1) Remove tree mounting strap from packaging. Pull tag end out of buckle clasp. 2) Thread buckle tag end through back slots of camera body before attaching to tree or post. 3) Wrap strap around post or tree and thread through the buckle and pull tightly, do not overtighten the strap. 4) Be sure to tuck away any loose strap remaining, to prevent the strap from moving caused by wind in front of the camera eye sensor. This can cause false triggering of the camera. The recommended distance is 25-30 feet from the target area for best image quality. Avoid mounting facing towards rising or setting sun to reduce direct sunlight on lens, as this will affect the picture or video quality. 5) There is also a brass female threaded bushing on the camera base to mount to a camera tripod, this has 1/4"-20 threads.a year agoHelpful?
