Q: Can this fence (71031) be used for horses? Also, what is the difference between this fence (71031) and the 70048

- A: Yes it can. There are a few differences in the fences including total weight, gauge size, and pullout, but the main noticeable difference is the sizing of the openings in the fence. 71031 has uniform rectangles that are each 9" L x 6" H, while 70048 has rectangles that are all 6" L but range in size from 2" H to 8" H. - A: Aside from differing gauge of the wire and spacing, the knots are different. The cattle fence you referenced has a Monarch® Knot whereas the square deal and woven field fences tend to have a Square Deal® Knot. The Monarch® Knot acts as a hinge that gives under pressure, then allows the fence to spring back into shape. The Square Deal® Knot prevents Red Brand fence from buckling or sagging. It provides extra strength and rigidity with flexibility for ideal installation over hilly terrain.9 years agoHelpful?
Q: What class galvinization and how heavy is a roll, and what type knot, do the horizontal lines have graduated spacing if so min and max?

Good product, my concern is no stores can order to the heavy gauge fence going forward. I had to go to 2 different stores to get my rolls and they said they can’t get heavy duty anymore? I understand some things get “cheaper” over time but cattle are not forgiving.
