Item Information

Cornish Cross Broilers single-handedly changed American eating habits by making broiler production efficient and producing nearly a 6 lb. carcass in 6 weeks! Before Cornish Cross Broilers were developed, a chicken dinner was a rare treat reserved for special occasions. Pre-Cornish Cross era chickens grew slowly while eating plenty of feed. Their meat was tasty but sparse. Cornish Cross Broilers require special feeding and care but grow astonishingly fast. These meat birds are the best choice for a person who wants to quickly produce delicious meat and has no plan to save hens for egg production. Today it's often the most inexpensive meat the grocery store sells. Suggested feeding schedule attachment under More Info below.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wow This has been a Nightmare I want to say 1st Tractor Supply Has been Great with all this and have tried to make it a great Order I ordered and was waiting for the chicks to come in . Somehow I missed the email and text about the shipped chicks. And the post office didn't call me and delivered the birds and left them on one of the doors of my house we never go in and out.We found them 3 days after they were delivered. They were all dead. I call TS and they were a joy to work with and told me they would ship me a replacement out.I got a email saying they would be shipped out Monday 4/29 so on Wednesday 5/1 I didn't get them so I called TS back and they called the Hatchery to see what happened . The Hatchery said they made a mistake on the date and would be shipped on Monday 5/6 So I thought no big deal I would be looking for them that week.Well I was going to go by the post office to tell them to call me and not just drop them off. Before or by Monday before they were shipped,But on Friday 5/3 I got home from work and my wife gives me a box full of chick and the post office dropped off again lucky my wife was home and got them and took them into the house till I got home. I got them and went out to put them in the Brood Box . As i was putting them in I found 10 dead in the box. Then the next day I got home from work and was checking on them to make sure they didn't need any water and food and found another 15 dead and they were not out of water or food so I don't know what happened but the rest are running around and look fine so I am hoping I don't lose many more. I have been raising chickens for 10 years and this is the 1st time I have lost chickens like this. I wish I knew they were going to be shipped early. I was planing on talking to the post office on Monday the day they were to be shipped to make sure they wasn't delivered.
