How long does it take for Golden Comets to mature enough to harvest them for meat, should we decide to hatch some eggs and use them as a dual purpose chicken?

Generally a Golden Comet will be mature around 18 weeks to the point the meat will be of good condition to eat

Are these chickens heat tolerant to S.W. Florida?

Thanks for the note. Chicks are shipped to warm weather states all year long so you should not have issues at all. Rainbows and Rhode Island Red chicks are especially thrivent in warm weather conditions

do you have to order all females or can it have two male in the bunch

If you order females, they all have to be female. Only if you order unsexed will you be able to have both male and female but there is no guaranteed ratio.
