Q: What is the best wire connector for steel electric fence? I was looking at the screw on type but they say copper to copper.

- A: If the filament is copper then it has to be copper to copper or else the connection will be compromised. When you hook up steel wire to copper something call electrolysis happens and the metal becomes corroded, making a poor contact and weakening shocking power. If you are using steel filament then you can use steel connections or anodized metal.5 years agoHelpful?

The connectors worked good on my installation. Would buy again.
