Ultra Quiet and Oil-Free Steel Tank Air Compressor is designed to be one of the quietest portable air compressors in the industry, emitting only 60 decibels of sound. The powerful 1.0 HP motor operates at only 1,680 RPM, creating less noise and less wear. The oil-free dual piston pump system is engineered for high performance and durability. This California Air Tools air compressor is ideal for anyone working inside where noise is a major issue. Made with durable steel, this air compressor offers strength and long-lasting use.

I have a larger CNC mill in my basement and when I cut metal is was so loud with my old air compressor the whole house was noisy. After buying this the air spray itself is louder than the compressor, and this one does not have to run the entire time I'm cutting. It kicks on about every 5 minutes and runs for maybe a minute (if that) This thing is seriously quiet, I can cut without hearing protection (I do anyway just because the air noise will get on my nerves) and if I leave the basement you can't hear anything.

    This is a terrific air compressor with a great price for my home workshop. It is so Incredibly quiet and is nicely built - the quick coupler is solid and leak free (not always a given with budget compressors). I would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another California Air brand compressor in the future. I could have bought from Am*z*n for the exact same price but I took advantage the top rate personal service from my local Tractor Supply store. I ordered online and picked at the TS store freight fee without fear of damage during shipping.

    So Far, So Good ...

    I've only had this compressor for a couple of weeks, using it mainly to blow dirt and dust away from tools during maintenance. It fills up with air quickly and is very quiet. The one negative so far is that it generates a lot of heat very quickly and takes a couple of hours to cool down enough to place a cover over it.
