Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great but LOUD! We purchased this for light duty and high volume out put in our development lab wher it works great. We picked this one because it was spec'd to be quieter than most which it is not. We measured 95dB at the compressor location, measured 80dB in the room and 65dB on the other side of a solid wood door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dewalt Air Compressor Only had it a few days. Seems to have plenty of output. Supposed to come with a manual. Had to call the company for it. They emailed a link and will be mailing one soon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unbelievably loud I have had this compressor for about a month. It has provided all the air pressure I need to run my tools. But it is so loud that at times it's unbearable. If you have to have this compressor in the same room that you are working I would strongly suggest, that you not purchase this compressor.

Is this a 100% duty cycle compressor?

Asked by: Centexfinest
The oil free units can run at 100% however, doing so reduces the overall life of the compressor. We recommend between 50% and 75% duty cycle for our oil-free compressor.

Want to use for multiple purposes, primarily cut-off, grinding, sanding and painting. Although not intended for daily use but for the above purposes w/ attachments rated within PSI and CFM ranges, will this do the job?

Asked by: Dan B M
The cut off tool, grinders & sanders are continuously operating air tools and as such require quite a bit of air. So if used in a daily application, a larger tank such as a 60 or 80 gallon would be necessary so you have an adequate air supply. If it is to be used strictly for an occasional small project, this unit should work but you may need to wait for the compressor to pump back up occasionally - again due to the grinders & sanders needing quite a bit of air.

Can this compressor perform an irrigation blow out?

Asked by: Derek81
This really depends on the length of pipe and size of system. The manufacturer or installer of the irrigation system would generally have a recommendation as to what is needed.

Will this run on a 100 foot, 20 amp drop cord without any problems?

Asked by: Homie 123
No, This compressor should not be run on a cord that is longer than 50'. I've included some other specifications when using an extension cord. If an extension cord must be used, be sure it is: • a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug, and a 3-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on the product • in good condition • plug is not worn • no longer than 50 feet (15.2 m) • 12 gauge (AWG) or larger. (Wire size increases as gauge number decreases. 10 AWG and 8 AWG may also be used. DO NOT USE 14 OR 16 AWG.) NOTICE: The use of an undersized extension cord will cause voltage to drop resulting in power loss to the motor and overheating. Instead of using an extension cord, increase the working reach of the air hose by attaching another length of hose to its end. Attach additional lengths of hose as needed. Always use a minimum 3/8” (9.5 mm) or greater air hose rated at 300 psi.
