I needed an air compressor that was on wheels, plugged into a 120 household current, and had at least 5 CFM to meet my plasma cutter needs. This met those requirements. The unit was delivered to my home and placed in my garage on a pallet. All good. I ran it for a 30 minute warm up, and next day connected it to the plasma cutter and it worked fine. So price, delivery, and performance were all good. As others have noted, the drain is really awkward to use as its so low. I went to a big box store and bought a replacement drain that extends to the front and is easy to reach and install. I would recommend this. Three other nagging drawbacks. The on off switch is mounted upside down. Honest. Not an issue other than, well, how did it get out of the factory that way? Second, the air intakes on mine do not have wing nuts to remove to check the air filters. Mine apparently screw off like a jar lid, except they refuse to turn. A call to Dewalt was less than helpful, as I was told they screw off (except mine don't). A second call will be necessary, and perhaps they have more of the original design. Finally, my owners manual was printed with so little ink that the first 15 pages are almost invisible. I was told that perhaps i could download a copy and print it at home as she couldn't send a replacement. (At the Dewalt site, the manual to this unit was 'page not found'. No help there. So to summarize, good price, good delivery time (two weeks), product works fine with minor quirks and tweeks, and a couple of things to be resolved (ability to access air filters and a readable owners manual). Hence a 4 star instead of a 5 star.

I bought this air compressor to do light duty in my garage. It takes forever to fill the tank and it could not even keep up with a DA sander to sand half of a fender. That's with using top quality Ingersoll Rand da sander that does not require as much CFM. Had I known it would perform like this I never would have bought it. Very well-constructed looks like Tarzan but performs like Jane.
