Many eye conditions are treated with the help of Atropine Sulfate Ophthalmic Ointment. This ointment is formulated with atropine, a drug that blocks muscle receptors in the eye. Veterinarians may recommend it for treating uveitis, corneal ulcers and more, as it can help reduce pain, spasms and inflammation of the eye. Suitable for horses, cats and dogs. Comes with 8 oz. of product. How it Works
Atropine blocks eye muscle receptors, preventing the eye from becoming accustomed to near vision. It dilates the eyes and provides relief from pain and spasms.
Special Precautions
- Never use if ointment color has changed.
- If your pet is using other eye medications, wait for a minimum of 5 minutes before administering other drops or medications.
- Never rinse the ointment tube.
- Never rub the eye, and try to avoid blinking.
- Do not touch the sterile ointment tube to the eye or any other surface. This can cause an eye infection.
Immediately contact your closest emergency animal hospital or vet.
