Great splitter but has some design flaws

While this log splitter functions very well there are a few things that really suck. The splitter is super heavy, so I purchased a trailer jack that came with a drill attachment. This has made my life so much easier! They designed the jack’s hydraulic fluid tank so that if it isn’t set perfectly level, it will shoot fluid out of a hole on the side of the cap. I found this out the hard way, twice! The trailer jack came in handy for getting the splitter level, so I don’t have to deal with the fluid shooting out again. The wheel’s dust caps bent easily, so they were impossible to put on. I also burnt my hand on the muffler because it is painted black and the words that say “caution hot” couldn’t be seen as I put my hand on it. I was very mad at myself for taking the gloves off. Otherwise, I really like this splitter. Do yourself a favor and get a trailer jack.

Weak weld on wedge

Log splitter has worked well, only one issue, weld broke on the wedge after a hour of splitting. We welded It back.

Very good ….except
a year ago
Would give it 5 stars but mine came with a clogged hydraulic fluid filter. YM is sending a replacement filter but loss of new fluid and the repair is a hassle.
