Full Boar 38 Ton Gas Log Splitter H6038FB First, the folks that I worked with, at the local TSC in West Union, Ohio, were great! They answered all my questions quickly, w/expertise and were very accommodating with my order & pickup! I ordered this unit online and had it delivered to this TSC store, so I could pick it up myself. The log splitter came very well packaged inside of a crate and had NO missing parts. Directions were generally concise, clear to understand and made the assembly process very easy to follow. With the help of a hoist, I was able to assemble it myself. However, having a second person available to help, would be recommended, as a couple of the parts are very heavy! After filling the splitter with fluids, I went to start it up. I had read the reviews, noting the engine seemed to start easily and on the first or second pull, I decided to record my first start attempt with a video. I'm not joking, the engine fired up and ran on the very FIRST PULL! The machine has operated smoothly and how it should, from that very first start. I did have a very small hydraulic oil leak at one of the fittings. It was quickly fixed by removing the part, retaping it and reinstalling with just a fraction more rotation into the housing fixture. I've not yet had the opportunity to split any high volumes of rounds. However, I expect this beast of a machine, to handle just about anything thrown at it! P.S. I recently was able to purchase and receive the Log Lift Table and Log Catcher Table. Both had been unavailable since I had purchased the splitter. I hope to get them installed this week. The addition of these two attachments should really streamline the splitting process AND relieve a lot of back pain in the process!!!

I cut and split mostly oak and pecan. 2 of the hardest woods in the country. That thing splits it with no problem on idle.

Works like a champ

It looks great and I expect it to be a beast. I did accept Tractor Supply assembling the log splitter. They could have made the money from the oil/transmission fluid if they told me it came empty. Hired men to split wood but they couldn't. Paid them for the day and I will have to pay them again this coming Saturday --- if it doesn't snow. Makes it expensive at $60 /hour and i still don't have a stick of wood split.
