This Tarter Series 3 Manual Headgate CMH is designed for the cattleman with a smaller sized herd and animals up to 1,200 lb. This heavy-duty headgate can be safely and simply operated by just one person. You can also mount the Tarter manual headgate on to wooden posts if desired. The steel manual headgate has a single pc. top linkage for a smoother operation. Overall, it measures 19-1/2 in. L x 41 in. W x 72 in. H.

Great for Highlands with horns!

Outstanding for Scottish Highland Cattle! We had trouble getting our big guy's head through automatic gates with his horns, but this gate is able to open enough to get him through, and sturdy enough to hold him for his vet visits.

Placing the order, updates and delivery were all non-issues … the head gate itself was very heavy duty with an excellent finish (paint). Installation was straightforward, and the head gate performs exactly like it should … exceptional value at a budget price.
