The Tarter CattleMaster Series 3 Standard Squeeze Chute with Manual Headgate is the economical, fast, and safe solution for smaller cattle operations. This all-purpose chute even makes it easy to work cattle by yourself. This standard squeeze chute has a number of great features that will save you time and protect your investment. Let's start with the tailgate. An easy-to-use pull handle allows you to operate the tailgate near the entrance so you can encourage livestock to enter. The tailgate automatically locks when opened. When closed, durable steel bars prevent cattle from getting out - and others from getting in - allowing cattle to see into the chute. It is more likely they will want to enter when it's their turn. Once livestock are in the chute - a single lever squeeze mechanism lets you apply pressure safely - keeping them still and calm. With one hand, you can easily access the top half of livestock for branding, vaccinations, and deworming. The Tarter standard squeeze chute's removable panels make working the lower half of cattle safe and quick. And if you need to work larger cattle, there's a side door to allow livestock to exit.

A bit disappointed

We received the Squeeze Chute ahead of schedule which was nice, but the top bar of the head gate is bent and the handle grip for the head gate is damaged.....We documented the the damage with the delivery guy and accepted the shipment. We rented a forklift to take it off the delivery truck and to place it at the end of alley. If we had not accepted the delivery we would have wasted $480 for the rental.
Tarter strapped the unit on a pallet that was so narrow that we believe during handling it tipped over more than once. There are various scrapes on the paint that helps support our claim of multiple tips..
When we contacted Tractor Supply customer service they did offer to return it - but we would have to rent the forklift again for another $480 and then rent it again when it was replaced - that's a total of $1440 we would have to eat.
What we really wanted was the head gate replaced. It detaches easily and we could have taken to the local Tractor Supply and picked up a replacement - easy peasy! Tarter did not want to do that.

Hoped for more

Nothing bigger than 2yr old 1200 lbs cow will fit as the chute is rather narrow. The back gate sticks before I even used it. Was very disappointed in the condition. Many mars and scratches down to the metal. (20+ for sure)
