Trimmer needs improvement

I thought I would try this SB10 stringless trimmer/edger since I have had a good experience with the 24volt lawnmower and leaf blower I bought a few years ago. I think there needs to be a few improvements to make it truly usable. I am able to edge pretty good, but the guide is useless. It needs to be adjustable so as the blade gets shorter, you can shorten the guide. Also the blades wear out too quickly, even though I try to be gentle on them. And the battery that came with it would not charge. I got tired of jumping through hoops trying to get a replacement. I like the idea of not having to use trimmer string, but the blades are just as costly to replace.

Not sure on product, but really good CustServ

Ship to store and box was utterly destroyed. Store checked it out and so did I when I got home. Everything seems to work OK, but the blades got lost due to the damaged box. I have no review on the trimmer yet, since I can't use it without the blades. But Brandon, my local TSC manager in Minocqua, WI gets 5 stars - so far, as the problem has yet to be solved - for his efforts to fix this.
Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is perfect for maintaining a nice lawn and taking care of weeds along the edges of the yard. It’s simple to use and the battery life lasts pretty well. It doesn’t include a wire feed, and it would be nice if the blade didn’t need to be clipped on manually. It is comfortable to hold, though it is a bit heavy on the front end. Overall though it’s a nice addition to my lawn tools and will help keep my yard looking nice all summer lawn!
