Loyalty is in question

I have used and depended on dewalt tools to provide for my family as an electrician for 33 years and rarely have complaints regarding quality but this chainsaw is one rare time that I have not been satisfied at all. After about a year of very little use, the chain began to jump off of the bar, which initially I chalked up as user error. This thought quickly vanished when it became a more frequent and would occur at least once everytime I would use it.
With the regularity it was happening, I began to do some investigating as to what the issue could be. It only took a quick Google search to see there was a great number of negative reviews and complaints filling the online community and forums. Evidently there seems to be a large percentage of people who have experienced the same issues and believe there to be a major design flaw with the sprocket.
The sprocket is held on by a washer that does not seem to seat tightly against the sprocket and the chain gets caught in the space between. The more it happens, the more it wears and quickly exasperated the problem. There needs to be a recall amd fix for this issue. There are a couple you tube videos for diy fixes but for the price of the saw and it carrying the dewalt name a diy fix is unacceptable.
Until the problem is acknowledged and rectified, long time dealt customers, like myself, will increasingly become disinheartened and less loyal.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought 3chain saws for work
The oil pump Sistem fails in less then a month
Now I have 2 more because they take 2-3 months to
Fix always short on parts
Had to buy 2 more because of how long it takes
To fix
One of them only lasted one battery charge then
pum was not working anymore new from the box
The oil pump system fails a lot
Chain bar and sprocket don’t last long
I’m thinking of going to another company of chain
Saws like stihl
heard they are very reliable

Father's day gift used once

Motor went poof less then six months old he only used it one time. Not my only Dewalt tool let down two impacts also. Navigating this site has also been a nightmare very disappointing I'm my favorite brand
